If jQuery was a woman, I could commit

jQuery is a fast and concise JavaScript Library that simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development. jQuery is designed to change the way that you write JavaScript.

JQuery give us programmers an easier approach at javascript by easing the process of manipulating the DOM, watching events, adding AJAX, and more. Another thing jQuery has given us is the ability to animate DOM elements within the user's browser. This allows simple animations to be performed without the use of Flash. I've been known to be a Flash hater (even thought I can admit its uses on the Net), and this is my solution to when clients DO want animations.

The upside to jQuery animations are plentiful. The biggest selling point for me is the fact that they don't require any sort of plugin or player. Anything that can run javascript can run jQuery, which should be any browser on the Net! This also includes your iPhone, Android phone, or whatever other smartphone you're browsing with.

With all that being said, check out a website we just finished and published that is shockingly flash-free! We did extensive work to make sure it was cross-browser compatible (IE7, IE8, Safari, Chrome, Firefox) and we think it turned out pretty good! Let me know what you think in the comments!

Without further adieu, I give you....
